In Luke 17 we are given a picture of Christ the servant. Christ did not serve for his own ends, but in order to glorify the Father. Too often our own service is predicated on what we can get out of it. However, serving sacrificially means we serve when it’s not convenient, or when we’re discouraged, or when we can get nothing out of it.
