The Bush That Wouldn’t Burn
Bible Text: Exodus 2:23-3:10 | Speaker: Pastor James Hinton | Series: Exodus
Have you ever played hide-n-go seek when you were a child? Maybe you found that perfect hiding place where no-one would find you? Then after hiding for what seemed like an eternity you realized that no one was going to find you because everyone stopped looking for you. Maybe you are one as an adult who has been playing “hide-n-go seek” with God. You have “hid” perfectly from Him for years only to come to a place where you want to be found but fear that you are not worth looking for and that God has given up on you?
When we find ourselves lost, alone, wandering in the desert moments of our lives, God hears the cries of His people and perfectly keeps His promises. He is compassionate, attentive and faithful. In Exodus 3, we see the nature of who God is, both transcendent—above us—and eminent—among us and the way He nurtures his people providing perfect, ceaseless care.
