What to Exect

We recognize that visiting a church for the first time can be a little intimidating.  We want to make it as smooth and comfortable as we can for you.  Here are a few things that you can expect on your visit to a 10:30 worship service at Mosaic:

Location:

We meet at the Daniel Morgan Campus located at 48 S. Purcell Ave on the corner of S. Purcell Ave and Cork Street right across from Jim Barnett Park.

Dress code:

We don’t have one.  You will likely see people in anything from casual clothes to dress attire, but most people will be on the more casual side (jeans, polos, t-shirts, etc.).

Parking:

You can park in either of the two large parking lots on the S. Purcell Ave side of the school.

Entrance:

Follow the sidewalks to the Daniel Morgan Intermediate School main entrance.   Once you enter the building, you will find our welcome table and Children’s Ministry sign-in table.  Stop at the first-time guest table to let us know you are here, get to know us, and receive a small gift from Mosaic.  There is a short survey that we ask first time guests to fill out so that we can have a record of your visit, help you check in children, and/or help you get connected with appropriate ministries.  You can also grab a bulletin for the day that will have the order of worship, prayer guides, ways to get connected, and upcoming events listed.

Children’s Ministry:

We offer several different environments for kids based on age during our 10:30 service.  Each of our staff and children’s ministry volunteers is background checked to provide a safe environment for families.  Families are welcome to have their children participate in these ministries or to worship together in the main service.  The Nursery (6-24 months) & Toddlers (2-3 years) environments are available during the entire service.  Kids in the Preschool (4years – K) and Elementary (1-5 grade) environments are in the main service to worship with their families during the first part of the service and then are dismissed to those environments during the preaching.  If you do plan on using any of these ministries, we ask that you register your children when you arrive.  One of our guest services volunteers will be able to show you the children’s ministry environments once you have registered.

Coffee Bar:

Just as you turn to go to the auditorium you will pass by our coffee bar.  Please feel free to grab a coffee, hot tea, or water on your way to worship.  We partner with Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee to provide excellent coffee that helps us connect with a global mission.

Restrooms:

There are restrooms directly outside the main auditorium

Worship Service:

There are two ways to enter the auditorium.  The first section of doors will take you into the front of the auditorium, while the door beside the exit will take you around to the back of the auditorium.  We recommend using this door if you are running late or need to slip in and out during the service.  Once in the auditorium, you will find theatre style seating throughout.  Grab a seat and worship with us!

Once the service starts there is typically worship through singing, prayer, preaching from the scriptures, and a time to respond to the message.  During the response time, we ask that people fill out the response card that is attached to their bulletin.  After the service, the response card can be placed in our giving box located by the exit near the front of the auditorium.
